This new column will provide you practical questions to help you to create the work, business – and even life in general – you'd truly like.
Did you grow up being encouraged to ask questions? Probably not. More likely, you were only praised and rewarded when you got the right answer?
Why do I offer questions? A question will always empower you to see something you might not have been able (or willing) to see before.
An answer will only limit your field of vision to what you have decided is right.
When you ask a question are you looking for an answer? No. Ask the question, then make a choice and pay attention to what shows up as a result. Then based on your heightened awareness, ask another question and choose again, and so on.
The idea is to continually heighten and expand your awareness so that you can more easily create the work, business and life you'd really like.
This column is designed to get you into the rhythm of asking questions and seeing possibility, rather than seeking the RIGHT thing to do and seeing only problems.
Most people and organisations do not function like this. Most are seeking the answer to life, the RIGHT way to live, the RIGHT business decision.
You may even be reading this column now looking for an answer.
These questions are not the answer. They are a tool to unstick you from places you get stuck and to help you see greater possibilities.
Please do not feel bound by their form or limited by their content. Make up your own whenever you like! Go on, I dare you.
Asking questions requires no special talent or ability. All you need is a willingness to ask. Are you willing? Then come and play here five days a week. See you tomorrow!
