당신을 괴롭게 하는 사람이 있나요? 당신이 뭘 하든지 말하든지 간에 상관없이 늘 당신 잘못이라고 하는 사람이 있습니다. 그들은 당신이 아주 약간 잘하지 못한 것을 가지고서 심하게 질책을 하곤 하나요?

이럴 때 당신은 어떻게 반응하나요? 당신은 자신의 행동을 정당화 시키고자 노력하고 잘못한 게 없으며 최선을 다했을 뿐이라는 것을 증명하기 위해 노력하나요? 그 방법이 작용하던가요? 당신이 정말로 잘못한 것이 하나도 없을 때, 그 때조차도 그들은 보통 당신의 말을 믿고 쉽게 놓아주지를 않습니다.

자기 관점이 옳다는 주장을 포기하려 할 때에 우리는 비로소 새로운 가능성을 창조해낼 수 있습니다.
